Braeden Adams
Corporate & Public Communication, 2022
I was born in Canberra in 2000, and first became interested in communications and media through events like the Deep Water Horizon oil spill, and how organizations could effectively respond to crisis.
Following a range of internships, I started study and the University of Canberra in 2019, and have loved every second of my academic career, studying what I see as an undervalued and underappreciated profession.
Building on my studies at UC, I joined Services Australia as a Media Adviser in 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This invaluable experience has led to the development of a strong communications professional, with in-depth experience of working in federal government communications.
With a passion for getting the right message to the right audience at the right time, I have worked for Hank Jongen, Services Australia’s spokesperson and briefly assisted Minister Bill Shorten following the introduction of a Labor Government in 2022.
I look forward to continuing my professional career, and hope my samples of my work demonstrate my commitment throughout the course of my degree.
I already have a job, but thanks for looking.

Aeroplane Jelly Magazine Entry
The attached magazine advertisement was created for Aeroplane Jelly, to entice parents to purchase jelly for their children, without the worry of sugar guilt. We worked to remove negative perceptions of Jelly but giving the power back to the consumer, through a customizable jelly campaign. We conveyed this with the attached graphic, utilizing happy children and a 'jelly van' concept to encourage parents to purchase Australia's favorite jelly.
