Brian [Chun Wing] Lee

During his studies at the University of Canberra, Brian has gained valuable experience in different parts of film production – such as screenwriting, film editing, script supervising, sound designing and 1st Assistant Directing.

He has worked on several short films – including ‘The Forest‘ as the picture editor, ‘Ayudar‘ as the 1st assistant director, ‘Alphabet Soup‘ and ‘Weed and The Gold‘ as the script supervisor.

When Brian graduates from the university, he would prefer to work with a video production company as an assistant or a main film editor for an entry-level role. Even so, he is open to other entry-level positions in the film industry to keep developing his filmmaking skills.

In his spare time, Brian makes and edits videos to post on his YouTube and TikTok channels. The content on YouTube mainly focuses on sharing Brian’s gaming moments and making how-to gaming videos.

Other than the film industry, one of Brian’s long-term goals is to become an online content creator. He chose to study Film Production at university to learn how to use the art for social purposes, have transferable skills and create opportunities. To Brian, art and entertainment through cinema serve as educational or social awareness tools to build positive relationships. The transferable skills – such as project management, analysing his work, developing a creative idea, and finishing it – of a film production degree let Brian adapt to many workplaces in the 21st century.
