Cameron Roxburgh

Architecture, 2023

I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Canberra where I learnt to hone my design and problem solving skills. Through my studies I have become proficient with multiple industry programs and techniques and I am quick to pick up any new or relevant skills. I enjoy and have had success working within a team and am looking for somewhere to grow and gain industry experience over the next year before I start my masters. I have a passion and eye for photography, drawing and all things design.

Garema Performance Centre

Garema Performance Centre

By breaking down the socio - cultural qualities and moments within Garema Place my performance centre aims to create a living room in the city. My conceptual lens focuses on porosity and filtering people, sound and light through and into the public performance space where you'll be able to either see or hear what is happening as you occupy the building. I have taken key urban observations and rhythms to contextualise the project within Garema Place, resulting in the hierarchy within the facade system. The proposed landscaping also emphasises the connection to the Canberra Centre and Bradon with a gesture that explodes out once it hits the building

The Eco Corridor

The Eco Corridor

‘The Corridor’ aims extend the existing ecological corridors around Canberra and the university campus into the urban landscape to foster social and environmental sustainability. This corridor of green space acts as a central node and connection point between the existing campus and the newly developing master plan. It will act as a meeting point for everyone around campus including students, residents and visitors with a focus on learning, heritage, physical activity and community interaction.
