Charles Nelson
Culture & Heritage, 2020
My name is Charles Nelson and I am an Indigenous student currently studying a Bachelor of Arts in Culture and Heritage at the University of Canberra. My interests cover Australian History and Indigenous knowledge. I have a strong passion for working with Indigenous collections and repatriation. My experience with Indigenous collections comes from both personal experience and academic experience. I also have a strong interest in objects conservation and I have treated items ranging from paper prints, colonial era coins, paintings, ceramics and photographs. My interest in conservation has also helped me work with the National Museum of Australia, doing an internship at the conservation labs and being able to work on some of their objects.
