David Carter
Architecture, 2021
Hi there! I’m David, a soon-to-be graduate of Architecture from the University of Canberra.
Heading into university I’ve juggled with a few career options – after spending a year studying IT developing websites and basic programs, I found myself enjoying my design elective units much more than my core IT units — but I was still unsure about which area of design I wanted to explore. In between class periods, I hopped in my friend’s Architecture Design Studio 1.2 introductory lecture and I knew right then and there that I was going to study architecture the following semester.
Fast forward to 2021, I am nearing completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in the Built Environment (Architecture). I’m eager to apply my knowledge and skillsets and contribute to contemporary residential and commercial projects that ultimately seek to improve the quality of life and well-being of the people and the community that surrounds it.

Selected Portfolio

perspective render - the athenaeum
One of the building's qualities is that it draws upon the nearby laneways and connects them through a vessel. This render places you right into Theatre Lane, inviting you into the space.

studio folio - architecture studio 4
The studio folio contains all of my work from Graduation Studio. You can see my studio folio by clicking here.

a0 synopsis panel
One of the requirements of the final project was to submit an A0 synopsis panel - to be used in the physical FADx exhibition. Since it's now happening online, you can enjoy it here instead!
