Ebony Heins

Journalism, 2022

I am currently in my final semester of a Bachelor of Communications Media (Journalism) and Bachelor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Canberra. I am Editor of UC’s student magazine, Curieux, and served as President of PIRaNaS, UC’s Politics, International Relations, and National Security Student Association. Throughout my studies, I have dedicated myself to the improvement of the University magazine, Curieux, and the success of PIRaNaS, in order to provide support for students, a platform for the student voice, and an overall sense of community at UC.

I was selected for the ABC Press Gallery Internship, which was an invaluable learning experience, as I have long aspired to work as a political reporter. I am an avid writer and am well versed in Australian politics. I am passionate about social justice and interested in working in a community-minded role.
