Marketing Communication, 2022

I am a passionate communicator with strong industry experience as a graduate.

For the last 3 years, I have been studying marketing communications, corporate and public communication. As a young professional, I worked on the Census Communications team in addition to the real estate industry while studying at the University of Canberra, gaining exceptional organisational and issue management skills.

Throughout my course, I have developed an interest in a few key areas; advertising strategy, media planning, strategic communications and crisis communication.

As I continue my career journey, I look forward to taking on new challenges and taking advantage of new opportunities.

A creative challenge of balancing humour with a taboo subject. Derived from the insight that death anxiety peaks at the age of 50, our big idea is 'surprise people to think about funerals differently'. Consumers aged 50 - 65 years old are the target audience for this campaign, demonstrating that pre-paying for your funeral is a sensible decision that will benefit all aspects of a consumer's life, including their immediate family. In collaboration with Georgia Arndell, Seetha Subbiah and Rose Catania

Environmental Scanning Memo | Australian Red Cross

In course of the unit Organisational Communication, my task was to fictionally act as the Australian Red Cross Communications Director and scan the latest organisational communication research in order to provide the senior leadership team with a 1000-word memo that summarises the findings. Within the memo, I discuss how my research insights could be relevant to the Australian Red Cross' public communication efforts. This memo discusses the ethical practices of the Australian Red Cross in public communication and corporate social responsibility.

PitchThis! Student Competition | Public Relations Institute of Australia

During my final semester of university, my 3 peers and I are representing the University of Canberra to compete in the Public Relations Institute of Australia national competition. This initiative brings high-performing final-year students from universities across Australia to develop and pitch communication campaigns for real-world clients. The client is ABC Friends Victoria for 2022. The goal of the campaign is to educate Victorians aged 18-40 about the importance of ABC, its programming and its role as Australia’s national broadcaster. In collaboration with Erin Slaven, Liam Mobbs and Michelle Zeitlhofer.
