Eliza Styles
Industrial Design, 2021
My goal is to create beautiful, well considered designs in my mission to become the best designer that I can be. I am passionate about designing a wide range of products, as I enjoy improving my skill set and stepping out of my comfort zone. I am particularly passionate about furniture and homeware design and I am very inspired by other furniture designs and designers too.
As a young, emerging designer, my aim is to focus on sustainable design as much as possible, to create design which is not only good for the user, but also better for our world and prevents avoidable pollution and harm.
I'm looking for a job.

Selected Portfolio

FLORA POD
Combining high aesthetics and smart technology, the Flora Pod is a smart garden device, that allows the user to grow food easily at home. The design takes inspiration from natural forms and is inspired to look like a water droplet hitting the ground. The design makes the idea of home food production more desirable and easier to achieve for the user, while having high visual aesthetics without the luxury price tag.

MOO TABLE
Focusing on sustainable design, the Moo Table is an innovative side table design, which uses recycled HDPE material. The colour is achieved by using recycled milk bottles, plus selected lids to achieve a swirled, marble effect. The aim was to create a high end product, which completely transforms the recycled material.

ID7 EYEWEAR
The ID7 Eyewear project was a large collaborative project, which focussed on solving the issues that traditional eyewear caused to the user. The solution was an innovative, custom made to the user, 3D printed eyewear designs, which utilised technology to its advantage.

SUNDIAL DESIGN
Exploring the properties of different metals, both stainless steel and aluminium, the Sundial design combines traditional design with new technologies, to create the outdoor product design. Utilising hand finishing, the design was bent together by hand for a more unique finish.
