Ely Corliss
Sports Media, 2023
My name is Ely Corliss and I am a proud Indigenous man of the Kabi Kabi mob in Bundaberg, Queensland. My passion for sport started at young age both wanting to play it professionally or commentate at a high level. Over the duration of my course here at UC I’ve been privileged enough to intern at the Canberra Times and the Canberra Raiders where I was given my first opportunity to commentate and achieve a life-long goal. Rugby league is certainly my bread and butter but I have a deep knowledge of AFL, cricket and basketball which I’ve been able to cover through both audio/video and written content across my degree. My goal in the next 12 months is to further my career in sports media and begin to make a respected name for myself whilst expanding on my talents built here at UC.
