GEORGE MANUMU’A

Corporate & Public Communication, 2023

Me. I Am George… The Elusive Communicator.

As you’ve probably gathered, my name is George. I am on my final stretch of studies after many years of uncertainty and trying to find myself – how cliché. I am doing this degree in Communications. Yet, it is the antithesis of what I actually want to do. Life can be funny sometimes and you just have to accept it.

Over the years, I have matured to know precisely when to use my energy and when to conserve said energy. I triumphantly believe in the self-care movement and champion such a notion as an essential part of my everyday life. You should try it.

I should let you know that I love anything creative. That is emancipation in and of itself. To be free from constraint and expressing yourself without the pressures of our reality. This can be blasting music (while singing along, of course!), or it could when I’m cooking up a feast for family and friends. I love taking photos and capturing moments to look back on and smile so I live for living in the now. It’s a beautiful thing to be grateful for the little things.

Inspiring Female Figures - The Divine Divas: Hwasa

This was an individual task. We had to learn a set of essential skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and produce evidence of our learning. The task was to create five complex digital composite images exploring any given theme of our choice combining a number of images to produce an engaging mixed-media collage - a visual representation of our theme. CSDF - The Place To Be Campaign Report

CSDF - The Place To Be Campaign Report

This was a group task. The campaign report is an integrated campaign, moving beyond one type (e.g. social media campaign). With weekly workshop activities set as a milestone guide to ensure we develop an effective campaign report. I contributed as the lead writer and because of the collaborative nature, my peers and I helped with each other. More information can be found on the website link provided above, including the actual report.
