I am a recent graduate of the University of Canberra, with a Bachelor of Communication and Media (Journalism) and a major in Culture and Heritage. Growing up in a small regional town, I saw the impact quality journalism had on the community, and this inspired me to study journalism once I entered university.
Throughout my degree, I have gained a range of industry experience by interning at the Canberra Times and writing for the school’s website Now UC. In journalism, no two articles are ever the same and having an environment that allows you to connect with people is something that I thrive upon and enjoy.
Next year I will be undertaking a Graduate Certificate in Heritage Materials Conservation, and I can’t wait to see where my career will take me.
