Georgina Gillett

Master of Architecture, 2021

My name is Georgina Gillett. I began studying at the University of Canberra in 2016 and have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture 2019 and currently finishing a Master of Architecture. I have had many highlights throughout my studies including undertaking an elective in Italy and perusing the faculty led tour to Japan in 2022 to complete my degree. I have gained an array of specific interests within architecture, including sustainability and the impact architecture has on the planet and I am eager to learn more about Japanese architecture in the faculty led tour to Japan.

My graduation studio, in collaboration with Christopher Smith and Kirsten Bleeze, was a project involving the challenge of creating a hybrid zone, city within a city, located on the edge of Haig Park and Northbourne Avenue.

I'm looking for a job.

Program Distribution

Program Distribution

Gallery and childcare center occupy the ground level, whilst the community hall, restaurant, apartments and theatre float above as they intersect with the social condenser, continuing the floating language that we created throughout this space. Access to these intermingle to create interesting interactions between programs.
