Issy Doszpot

Visual Communication Design, 2021

Hi, my name’s Issy Doszpot. I am currently in my third year of graphic design at the University of Canberra.

Over the past two years, I have been offered many opportunities to help expand my design skills. I created a logo for the Australian Short Film Festivals. Won a t-shirt design competition and have most recently completed an internship with the Brumbies.

I have always been passionate about expressing my creativity and making work that resonates with people. I love to showcase my view of the world through luminous colour palettes. My interest in light and shadow is especially expressed in my videography and photographic work across the world. I like to create contemporary work in a bold, urban style.

My skills are now expanding as I wish to explore editorial and UI design further.

I'm looking for a job.

Typography Layout

Typography Layout

The Brutalism poster aimed to engage in the history of typography and typographic practice while applying critical and analytical skills to inform and develop a professional approach towards typography design. Brutalism was introduced into graphic design to create visual tension within the design. It brings a raw and unfinished design to make it stand out and eye-catching. Brutalism all contains mismatched colours, an unfinished look, and non-traditional layouts.

MoonTime Packaging

MoonTime Packaging

Packaging solution for sanitary pads called MoonTime. MoonTime was designed with a mission to help break the stigma behind periods. It also is intended for environmentally conscious women. I plan to capture the brand within the logo, design of the packaging and social media branding tiles. The overall packaging design is a cohesive and bold identity to help break the stigma behind periods.

Australian Short Film Festivals Logo

Australian Short Film Festivals Logo

The aim was to design a logo for the new and upcoming umbrella parent company ‘Australian Short Film Festivals’. The overall goal was to develop a corporate yet creative logo. They are needed to catch the eye of sponsors so the Australian short film festivals can receive funding. The primary logo that I created is a combination of gestalt and wordmark. The prominent lettering has a corporate yet straightforward look. The gestalt of Australia is represented but still demarcates. The states and territories divided into pastel palettes represent the diversity of the Australian culture and Films.

Suburban Development Poster

Suburban Development Poster

This poster was designed for a client who want to advertise the pros and cons of new suburban developments around Canberra. When designing the poster the client hand all the information and let me have free creative range over the poster. I challenge my skills by focusing mainly on Illustration and not using a dark colour palette. The final poster was presented at an A1 size.
