Jamie Leonard
Visual Communication Design, 2020
Hiya! My name is Jamie and I’m in my fifth and final year studying Graphic Design and Communications in Advertising. I’ve been drawing cartoons for as long as I can remember and this morphed into spray painting and street art though high school, resulting in me choosing to study design as a somewhat realistic art-based career path! I’m super keen on finding ways to incorporate hand-drawn organic elements into a clean digital space. I’ve developed skills in branding, logo design and also UI/UX design as an eLearning developer outside of uni. I spend most of my ‘spare’ time playing music with my friends in a band called Northbourne Flats, and enjoy working closely with the local music scene.

Selected Portfolio

Northbourne Flats Cover Art
Cover art that I have done for my band Northbourne Flats. 'Chasing the Dragon' was just the type and layout, and 'Kindred Spirit' was a digitally coloured and textured lino cut artwork.

Capital Old Ale
A poster and can mockup for a special release from Capital Brewing Co. Completed for The Design Kids end of year party event in 2018.

Language Freedom UI/UX
A hypothetical app design to help refugees connect with their new society.

Logo Designs
Various logo designs that I have done for real life clients. Yeah, plus a celtic illustration to help with balance!
