Corporate & Public Communication, 2021

I am in my final year of Corporate and Public communication. A highlight of my university experience was being a part of the University of Canberra  2021 ‘Pitch This!’ competition team.

My time at university has allowed me to explore various outlooks of my natural creative ability, which confirmed my passion for the social media industry. My keen eye for detail and the freedom to think outside the box while incorporating my communication and management skills draws my attention to this particular aspect of the creative field.

I strive for excellence, and I take great pride in the quality of my work while always seeking to build upon my natural attributes. I can grasp new concepts quickly, by seizing every opportunity to gain new experience and develop appropriate skills sets to excel in the professional world.

I look forward to applying my learned theory to practice.

 2021 Pitch This Campaign

2021 Pitch This Campaign

As part of the 2021 'Pitch This!' Competition, I worked alongside Emma Chappel, Mia McGriffin, and Keeyley Gilfillan to create the Glenorchy District Football Club (GDFC) campaign. The client's goal was to make GDFC and facilities the leading community hub for residents in the Glenorchy City council area. Our Pitch was called "Have a go" Summer Clinics, with the central concept being to break common physical activity barriers and offer an opportunity for Glenorchy youth and their families to connect with GDFC. My key areas of contribution were SWOT analysis, budget, poster, flyers, awards, the design of report, and presentation. The full report and pitch presentation PDFs can be found through the linked website.

Scouts ACT Social Media Strategy

Scouts ACT Social Media Strategy

Emily Pickersgill and I worked together to create a suitable social media strategy for Scouts ACT. This project aims to increase awareness of Scouts ACT to be recognised and valued for their work by the community. I demonstrated my ability to conduct in-depth analysis research, create appropriate social media content for scouts ACT and pitch our concept to the client. The full PDF can be found through the linked website.

Social media audit

Social media audit

This project was completed collaboratively with Olivia Domazet, Jack Leanard, Sophie Doherty, and Gyan Koewera. The brief outlined the requirement of promoting Canberra as a place to live, work and/or visit. Our proposed idea was to highlight Canberra's Hidden Gems to break the negative stereotypes associated with Canberra. I conducted social media monitoring and listening, created key persona, key messages, hashtags, sample posts, and individually created content to implement the campaign on our Instagram page. There are three parts of this project - audit, strategy and social media content that can be found through the linked website.
