Laura Raemsch

Visual Communication Design, 2022

Welcome!

My name is Laura, and I am a graphic designer based in Canberra.

During my degree, I’ve had the opportunity to discover various areas of graphic design and experience other areas such as marketing, 3D modelling and psychology.

As part of my current employment, I have the pleasure of working with a multitude of different clients from various backgrounds. Some of these clients include Marist College Canberra, Geocon and the Ronald McDonald House Charities. Besides that, I have occasionally worked for the German Embassy of Australia, for whom I created coin designs, certificates and other design-related projects.

I now specialise in designing app prototypes and overall branding concepts.

I already have a job, but thanks for looking.

NoosheJan - Brand Identity

NoosheJan - Brand Identity

NoosheJan ("Bon appetite!, Enjoy!") is a concept for Afghan women who have arrived in Australia as refugees. The idea is that women who have witnessed or experienced the same circumstances host cooking classes in a safe environment (e.g. a location that is not publicly known) to allow newly arrived refugees to open up. One component is the complementary app that offers culturally relevant meal ideas, direct access to Zoom, a store locator and much more.

Curieux - Rebranding

Curieux - Rebranding

Toward the end of 2021, UC's student magazine "Curieux" was interested in rebranding to encourage student submissions and strengthen its website and other online media channels. So, as a group, three other students and I developed a marketing plan, feature articles and a style guide.

Sustainable Packaging Solution

Sustainable Packaging Solution

Cosmetic packaging is known for its excessive use of plastics & The Ordinary's packaging is no exemption. The proposed solution eliminates plastic tubes and replaces them with keepable biodegradable bamboo jars with recyclable aluminium inserts. Instead of having to purchase the entire packaging multiple times, only the inserts need to be replaced. In addition, the packaging is colour-coded to help identify each specific product faster. The boxes are easy to stack on shelves and in shipping containers improving logistics.
