Laurence Kelson

Sports Media, 2021

I’m a sports media graduate with a love for storytelling and creating content.

I’ve spent most of this year growing as a professional communicator through my internships at the Canberra Raiders and the Canberra Times.

My goal is to create excellent content that delivers unique insights into sport, politics and culture.

I’ve spent my time at university honing my skills as a writer and content producer. Learning the ins and outs of Adobe to help take my stories from the page to the screen.

I’m looking forward to the journey of going from student to communications professional in the coming years.

Article on the state of MMA

This was my last major assignment for my degree. I found it both immensely challenging and rewarding. The piece deals with a subject that I am passionate about, and I had to rework it many times to find an angle that speaks to both fans of MMA and the general public.
