Journalism, 2023

Ever since I can remember I wanted to be a journalist and I have always been interested in the news be it written, television or radio. It was unavoidable for me to pursue a degree in journalism at university, and while studying I have been contributing to The University of Canberra’s magazine Curieux, UCFM as well as our journalism publication forum The Owl.

I enjoy radio shows/podcasting immensely and have pushed myself to gain experience where I can with every opportunity that presented itself.

I do work full time in realestate which is always a fast paced, every changing environment so I have always had to be on the ball and ready to adapt at a moments notice be it for work or university – or as it always seems to work out, both!

Road tripping in our own backyard

Road tripping in our own backyard

Rural Australia. A daunting world to enter for any city slicker, and maybe too daunting to plan a holiday passing through, or is it? Yes, all the major cities have a 100 restaurants and bars to enjoy the city skyline darkening the surrounds, but what can a breath of fresh air and a different view of rural Australia offer? The answer – colourful, awe inspiring silos standing tall over many almost forgotten towns. https://theowluc.com/story/road-tripping-in-our-own-backyard/

All roads lead to Rome

All roads lead to Rome

Life has been busy. I needed to get away. So, I arranged to meet up with my dad down south for some much-needed R&R. While I could’ve hit the Monaro Highway and turned on cruise control for an easy-yet-bland drive to Mallacoota, I decided that the drive should be part of the holiday. After charging up my camera, I navigated to the coast so I could soak in the natural beauty and clear my head along the winding road. https://theowluc.com/story/all-roads-lead-to-rome/
