FINAL PROJECT: THE PLIGHT OF THE TOWER

This project critiques the idea of the tower as an abstract form completely disconnected from its context. This notion is broken down through the lifting of the urban context to create a landform that punctures the 150m tall tower and injects it with public space and circulatory systems on the vertical plane. This form becomes a microcosm of the urban fabric it is punctured by.

Through the creation of this landform, it bridges the two identified infrastructures – Northbourne Avenue and Sullivan’s Creek, through another infrastructure – an elevated park.
