Noah Watson
Architecture, 2021
I am a naturally creative and critical person, I was always making or building something as a kid and that continues today. Architecture seemed natural to me as I am so passionate about critical creativity. As I have progressed through my studies I have realised that architecture and the profession has the ability for me to realise my values. My strongest values are those of community and wellbeing as they are so important when it comes to mental and physical health of people, from the individual to the city and beyond.
My specific interest in architecture is designing community infrastructure and commercial buildings, anything that cultivates culture and brings a community together really. My design process focuses heavily on the analysis of context. Understanding a sites natural and social environment is a crucial first step in design and I believe is important in developing environmental and social sustainability.
