Hi! My name is Oska.
My focus in marketing is mainly on creative execution – I enjoy media but I’m in my element creating interesting and new ways to communicate advertising concepts. I love the use of technology in advertising and believe it can really make advertising more accurate and awesome.

Some of my favourite ad campaigns include Six Flag’s Mr Six, and Wendy’s USA twitter wars, as well as Jack-In-The-Box. What are some of your favourite ads?

Secrets of Sacramento
The aim of this ad was to really create a sense of mystery and intrigue about the city of Sacramento – new things people haven’t tried before, new restaurants people had no idea existed, and new experiences waiting to be uncovered. This was achieved through the big idea of “Secrets of Sacramento”, encouraging both tourists and locals to discover what Sacramento really has to offer, and using body copy specially to create a ‘bond’ with the viewer – this is your special experience. The use of the principle of commitment via QR codes and links that take the viewer to a map where users could mark down, share and discover local stores and experiences was also considered an important aspect of this ad in order to invite the viewer to discover Sacramento.

ISSS Brochure
This was a team effort between myself and three other people. For International Students Services at UC we created a brochure to help international students around campus. I'm especially proud of this work considering we did not have a designer on hand.
