Penny Teh
Landscape Design, 2021
I grew up in a multitude of rich cultures country which is Malaysia. The majority of Malaysia embrace diversity, this can be easily seen through our languages and races. I really appreciate the environment that I grew up and this provided me with a lot of opportunities to expose to different things.
My uncle who is an architect used to tell me stories about his clients since I was young. I believe this is the fact that led me to the design industry and I believe it is a good sign. Design is the first choice that pop into my mind after graduated from high school and I think that is the right choice. I always tell myself that bring what you love to what you do.
I have selected the design industry that follows my passion and I wish to continue in the future. Studying Interior Design at Raffles College in Sydney to Landscape Design at UC allows me to explore the built environment and engage with the incredible diversity. Planning of public space with circulation, water management, and vegetation able to create an attractive, healthy, and natural environment that reduces the impacts to a minimum.
