Rebecca Lamb
Film Production, 2022
I’m a soon-to-be graduate of the University of Canberra, studying for a Bachelor of Arts (Film Production). I would describe myself as a lover & practitioner of the arts in its many forms and am particularly enthralled by the marriage of poetic/authentic storytelling, and its portrayal in stylistic manners.
My favourite aspect of filmmaking is how it allows artists to convey emotion and poignant messages, in a manner that is conveyable to audiences en masse. If I can make viewers think & feel something through my art that is my definition of success. I also enjoy the collaborative process, creating a project that carries the heart of the entire team.
My interests in the artistic field are vast, from writing to editing, cinematography and visual aesthetics, photography (street and talent), documentary and journalistic investigation, live events, and creating music. I want to do a bit of everything! I look forward to building on my pre-existing skills and will approach my career with an open mind so that I may continue to learn and develop.
I'm looking for a job.

Voices in Translation Reading - Poetry on the Move
Having completed an internship with University of Canberra’s Poetry on the Move (POTM) organisation (a division of CCCR), I was invited to stay on in a Social Media Manager & Live Events Assistant role. I valued the opportunity to be involved with the poetry community and found proximity to such passionate and beautiful expression truly creatively contagious. The attached video is a live recording from POTM’s annual festival, a 5-day celebration of poetry featuring poets spanning from local to international. I had the pleasure of recording live and assisting in A/V production. This video is of our ‘Voices in Translation’ reading taking place at Ainslie’s Gorman Arts Centre 25/09/2022. Two Lone Souls
Two Lone Souls – dir. Timothy Cross (2021) is a feature produced for the Major Creative Project unit. It tells the story of recently broken-up Lewis, who finds himself in proximity with fellow lost soul, Emily. Lewis realises through helping Emily find her happiness, he can harness that feeling, to bring the joy back into his own life. This is my only experience in the producer role, one that I highly enjoyed as it allowed me to participate in all aspects of the production process, and use both rational skills & creativity in troubleshooting issues.

Charlotte & the Harlots Biographical Documentary
Completed in 2019 for the Documentary Production unit, this piece was created early in my university career. I have included this piece as it depicts a certain niche I would like to work in, combining live music, investigative documentary production, presenting/interviewing, and depicting the local music scene which is very close to my heart. Lies Denied Podcast
Lies Denied is a fictional podcast created during my studies. I love stylistic audio and it’s capacity for creative mixing – finding rhythm from sampled/sourced audio. It also delves into my interest of conspiracies and counter-cultural stories outside of the mainstream. I’ve included this piece as it has recently secured me a casual producing position at ArtSound.FM radio station, where I will be utilising these skills to both teach courses, and bring a youthful edge to the station. A segment from the podcast can be found below.
