Rumesha Kashif

Marketing Communication, 2022

Hello!

My name is Rumesha and I am in my final semester of my Bachelor of Laws (LLB)/Bachelor of Communications and Media double degree. I am graduating with a First Class Honours is Law.

I am currently working at O*NO Legal as a Paralegal and Marketing Manager. With a keen interest in digital media and intellectual property law, I finds myself immersed in all the creative, technical, and artistic aspects of the firm. Prior this, I have experience in public relations, graphic design, photography, and communication strategy.

I am passionate about the dry aspects of marketing and communications – research, strategy, and copywriting. I am always on the look out for experiences to develop my skills and further my career. I am looking forward to the new journey the end of my undergraduate education will bring me.

Selected Portfolio

Nuilife Brand Redesign

Nuilife Brand Redesign

As an intern at Kokonut Pacific I was tasked with the development of a research report/strategy to guide the redesign of a product package and the brands tagline. The company wanted to increase awareness of their socially conscious behaviour, especially in regards to the ethical sourcing of their ingredients. This is the draft execution of the designs as guided by the research. The research document can be found in my online portfolio.

Burns Club Centenary Campaign

Burns Club Centenary Campaign

In a team with three other marketing/comms students we developed an integrated marketing campaign brief for the Canberra Burns Club and their upcoming centenary celebration. This required extensive research, collaboration, and creative designing – utilising the broad range of skills developed over my university career. The document can be found in my online portfolio.

AFP Media Campaign

AFP Media Campaign

For my Advertising strategy unit, I was tasked with developing a fictional media campaign for the Australian Federal Police. The aim of the campaign was to educate young drivers about the consequences of illegal mobile phone use while driving. The brief can be found in my online portfolio.

Research Project

Research Project

As a part of my degree, I developed and published an academic piece for my Honours dissertation. Though distinctly different to the marketing/comms sector, this project effectively demonstrates my research and writing skills, as well as my passion for academia and trying to understand the world. The dissertation can be accessed through my LinkedIn.
