Culture & Heritage, 2020

I’m due to graduate with a degree in Museum, Heritage and Conservation from the University of Canberra at the conclusion of 2020. Throughout my degree, I undertook a significant amount of work on archives and collection management. This resulted in a good understanding of the importance of record keeping. This degree also featured conservation practices for a range of different materials, while also providing a strong understanding of preventive conservation methods. I also learnt a range of practices used in historical institutions throughout the world. I have a passion for modern military history and Australian history. This degree focused heavily on the changes that historical institutions are currently undergoing, including both digitisation and decolonisation, which are areas that I’m eager to see continue in development.
