Sarah Duck
Architecture, 2022
Hi there! My name is Sarah Duck. As someone who has had a strong passion and keen eye for design since they were little, I am always endeavouring to find and develop new skills to boost my capabilities. I am known by those close to me for my bubbly personality, creativity and unique perspective. I’ve learnt through a casual teaching position that helping others and creating a comfortable environment in which everyone is excited to learn is something I love achieving. As a soon-to-be graduate and young adult, I look forward to what the future may hold.
I'm looking for a job.

The aim of this project was to tap into the conceptual fluidity of the civic public realm via physical fluidity. There are three bodies of water that engage with and filter the public into the core chamber. The façade is envisioned to be thin steel ribbons that enable a sense of enclosement around the building but allows visible intrigue from the outside. Numerous viewing platforms and circulation areas occur around the core chamber to allow oppurtunities to grasp unique perspectives of the performance throughout the entirety of the built form. The stage can be drained or filled with water to create an adaptable space for performers to use creatively. There is a 'reflection room' located underneath the main stages in which water reflections will come through and fill the room.
