Sarah Miron
Architecture, 2022
I have had a passion and love for architecture since I was young, modelling lots of small houses from balsa wood during school holidays. I furthered this passion when I moved to Canberra to study a Bachelor of the Built Environment (Architecture) at the beginning of 2020. Throughout my studies I have discovered my love for architecture through model making by hand and digitally. I am able to utilise industry software, particularly Rhino3D and the Adobe Suite (with some proficiency in AutoCAD and Sketchup) to respond to a variety of briefs particularly through diagramming. Additionally, through internships, work and tutoring in the architectural field, I have been able to broaden my knowledge beyond university studies to understand architecture in more depth. I have a high level of attention to detail and approach all architectural design tasks with a considered and creative mindset. I am also an accomplished musician, as an organist, pianist and composer. I enjoy making art and graphic design which I have been able to pursue through elective courses throughout my studies. I hope you enjoy browsing my selected work.
I'm looking for a job.

LONDON CIRCUIT ELEVATION
The concept of “Interlude” is focused on creating a volumetric, lyrical and connected live performance chamber space through the lens of resembling musical techniques through architecture including ostinato, rhythm and fragmentation. Derived from the grid of the original floor plan, the proposed project design incorporates the elements of civic architecture to respect the building's original use of a bank and transform it into a civic icon. The London Circuit arrival court, and vertical façade treatment, allows the activation of the surrounding site, drawing in passers by through the firm yet elegant approach. Interlude is a space to be immersed in music, to appreciate timeless elements of Canberra design and connect with likeminded people.
