Architecture, 2022

I am a third year architecture student at the University of Canberra with an interest in creating buildings that are experienced, interacted with and add value to their surroundings.
Designer Frank Chimero once said “people ignore design that ignores people”. This statement among others is always driving my design intent. Similarly designs such as BIG’s CopenHill Waste to Energy Plant which serve more than the primary function but the community as well are a great inspiration to me. Similarly, the manor in which architecture can be part of the landscape and form a relationship with it, is a key design consideration
My interest in architecture came from working in the construction industry as an Electrician for the last 4 years. During this time I worked on several award winning heritage restorations, town houses, mansions, office renovations and industrial construction.
I hope to apply all that I have learned in that industry and apply it to my designs. A few of the key skills gained from the industry are those of problem solving, determination and teamwork.
I have experience in using Rhino 3D Modelling, the adobe suite and the basics of Revit and Enscape. However I am always eager to learn new skills and software’s
