Tiarna Stevenson

Visual Arts (Brisbane), 2020

Tiarna Stevenson is an Australian oil painter who explores notions of womanhood and identity. Originating from South East Queensland, Tiarna currently resides in Tweed Heads New South Wales. While traveling across the bordering states of Queensland and New South Wales, neither of which she feels bound to, Tiarna is reminded of the parallel themes that run through her work. Narratives that reveal abstracted feelings, a vacant attachment to the feeling of home. With paint she attempts to communicate the sense of freedom she experiences in the presence of absence.

In 2020 Tiarna completed a Bachelor of Visual Arts through TAFE Queensland in partnership with the University of Canberra and plans to complete an honours degree in 2021. Tiarna works from the Hand Bent Banana Arts and Health Centre in her private art studio situated in Tallebudgera Valley.
